CHUF Fundraising Activities
CHUF Shops
CHUF volunteers run shops at the FreemanHospital where you can purchase CHUF promotional merchandise and crafts, 100% of proceeds going to our funds. The shops are open on a Monday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm and on a Wednesdayevening from 6pm to 8pminhe corridor outside Ward 23.
Tombolas, Fairs etc
CHUF take part in various Summer Fairs, Christmas Fairs, Country
Shows and tombolas throughout the year.
We are always in need of volunteers who canspare 2 or 3 hours of their time
to help us on the stalls at these events. Please contact our office if you
are interested in helping.
Collecting Tins
If you own a business and are able to help us by displaying a CHUF collecting tin, we would be happy to hear from you. We will deliver and pick up.
Bag Packs
CHUF have regular bag packs in local supermarkets. The last one at Morrisons in Jarrow raised £1,400 for our funds. If you would like to help us at one of our bag packs, please contact the CHUF office.
Alps Trekking Expedition
Nick Hart and Paul MacWhirter have raised about £8,000 by a long trek in the Alps. This took several days and theyclimbed up to 3,800 metres(nearly 12,500 feet). Here are some pictures from their expedition.
