Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of June at Lake Windermere.

Join Team Chuf at the 2026 Great North Swim and turn every stroke into real impact – raising vital funds for Heart Heroes and their families while taking on an unforgettable challenge. Swim with purpose, back an incredible cause, and be part of a team that truly makes waves! You’ll soak up the buzz, the scenery, and the satisfaction of crossing the finish knowing you’ve taken on something memorable.

Information on each swim

1 Mile Swim – suitable for swimmers of all abilities. It is equivalent to 64 lengths of a 25m pool and has an average completion time of 40 minutes. Entrants must be 16 years+.

2 Mile Swim – perfect event for open water swimmers looking for a longer challenge. Equivalent to around 125 lengths of a 25m pool. Average completion time 1hr 15min. Entrants must be 16 years+.

250 Meter Swim – a family friendly option. If you’re keen to try an open water swim but don’t know where to start, the 250 distance is ideal, and is also a great introductory event for younger swimmers age 8 years +. All 8-12 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Our swims range from £15 – £35 with a pledge to raise £250. ‍If you raise £250 we’ll send you an exclusive beanie!
