The British Transplant games sees over 950 children and adult athletes who have had life-changing transplants participate in a range of sporting activities. This year, CHUF made it possible for 12 Heart Heroes to attend the games with their families which took place on in the lovely Welsh city of Newport. Our support of Heart Hero involvement in the games is just one example of how CHUF offers continued and lifelong support that encourages heart transplant recipients to achieve their dreams, and as you can see, our Heart Heroes had a great time!

Oliver’s Mum Emma Humphreys, told CHUF:

“Oli is almost 6 years post heart transplant and has attended 5 transplant games and for the first time ever won a silver in the breaststroke swimming! Simply amazing, Oli couldn’t walk more than 10 yards pre-transplant, just amazing”
