In January 2019 we celebrated the phenomenal teams who took part in the 2018 CHUF Champions Challenge. Teams enjoyed a wonderful Finale and Awards evening held at the The Biscuit Factory with special guest Heart Hero, Tom Mouse Smith providing the evenings entertainment. 2018 has been an exciting year for CHUF with the launch of the first ever CHUF Champions Challenge. The challenge, which launched in the Spring, saw teams go head to head to raise much needed funds for CHUF in the North East and beyond! Seven teams, from companies large and small have worked tirelessly for many months to fundraise and raise awareness for CHUF. The evening was expertly hosted by Parent Trustee, Ivan Hollingsworth and culminated in an awards evening with prizes being won by the following: Award for the most successful event – Robertson Construction with Bonkers Bingo Award for the most inventive/creative initiative – Weber BBQ with the CHUF Burger Award for overall star team member – Shirley Williamson at Brewin Dolphin Overall CHUF Champions – DOVE raising over £34,000 for CHUF as part of the CHUF Champions Challenge. In all, the CHUF Champions Challenge raised in excess of £85,000 which will go towards funding large and small pieces of equipment, facilities, aftercare, salaries and research.
