Egger UK surprises Chuf with a wonderful £3,000 donation to end 2023 on a high!

The global manufacturer of wood-based products gets behind an array of charities throughout year, encouraging employees to nominate causes close to their hearts to recieve support. After seeing the support given to her best friend’s little Heart Hero Millie, Jenilee Hogarth put Chuf forward to benefit from a company donation.

Chuf Corporate and Trusts Fundraising manager Alicia was greeted at Egger’s Hexham site by the team along with magic Millie herself. A  huge £3,000 cheque was presented and Millies mam enthusiastically explained what a difference Chuf had made to her family. She talked about the practical support with things like food vouchers, how reclining chairs enabled tummy time as well as the specialist playroom that kept them busy and the portable Sats monitor that allowed her to go home.

“It’s lovely to hear first hand the difference that Chuf makes to families just like Millies and we hope that this money goes some way to helping Heart Heroes when they need that extra support”- Helen Stoker , Egger.

One of Egger’s core values centres around responsibility with an aim to act with future generations in mind by assuming ecological, economic and social responsibility. Eggers donation will indeed benefit the next generation of heart heroes both in the local community and beyond.
