Chuf is excited to announce a new programme of free weekly exercise classes for parents of children on the heart ward, taking place at Scott House, Freeman Hospital.
The classes are led by Lauren, founder of Strong At Heart CIC and a heart parent herself. With a deep understanding of the challenges families face during a hospital stay, Lauren has designed these sessions to help parents move, breathe, and feel a little more energised. The focus is on boosting mood, building gentle strength, and supporting mental wellbeing during an incredibly difficult time.
Each 45-minute session offers a safe, supportive and welcoming space, including a gentle warm-up, enjoyable movement, and a calming cool-down, all tailored to help parents take a moment for themselves while their child receives vital care.
When: Every Wednesday
⏰ Choose one session:
• 11:00am – 12:00pm
• 12:15pm – 1:15pm
Where: Scott House (Living Room)
No previous experience is needed. Just bring a water bottle, wear comfy shoes, and come as you are.
Chuf is proud to deliver this initiative in partnership with the NENC Congenital Heart Disease Network Patient and Family Engagement Group, supporting families when they need it most.
We’d love to see you there
