Thrill-seekers, this one was for you… and what an incredible event it turned out to be!

On Saturday 11th April 2026, Chuf teamed up with Great North Children’s Hospital Fund, part of Newcastle Hospitals Charity, to bring an unforgettable abseil challenge to life.

Participants took on the ultimate test of bravery, abseiling almost 70ft down the side of Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI, all in support of children and families facing some of life’s toughest battles.

From superheroes in costume to first-time adrenaline seekers, every single participant brought courage, energy, and heart to the day. Whether they were conquering fears, giving back, or doing it for someone special, everyone had their own powerful reason for taking the leap.

Thanks to the incredible commitment of our fundraisers, we’re absolutely thrilled to share that the event has raised an amazing £50,000 making a real difference to children and families who need it most.

And the response was amazing, the event completely sold out, with a waiting list of supporters eager to take part!

This wasn’t just an abseil… it was a celebration of bravery, community, and hope.
